Mrs. Alavan B. Beasley

Mrs. Alavan B. Beasley  passed away peacefully Thursday evening, November 27 at the E. T. York Haven Hospice in Gainesville at the age of 81. Alavan Beasley was born in Bell to John Offie Everett Bass and Julia Bass. She was a beloved sibling to R. B. Bass, L. E. Bass and Lois Hodge (deceased). Surviving sister and brothers, Betty (Dave) Horne, Mason (Marilyn) Bass and Lindbergh (Martha) Bass.
Alavan “Ann” was Deputy Clerk at the Gilchrist Supervisor of Elections Office for 16 Years.
She is survived by her loving husband Randolph Beasley, and her children; James Michael Horne, Sherri Monroe, Howard D. Horne, Alicia Beasley, and Chris Kent. She had five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her daughter Polly Horne.
A viewing was Tuesday Dec. 2 at Evans- Carter Funeral Home in High Springs 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services were held Wednesday Dec. 3 at High Springs Church of Christ on 441 at 11 a.m. with graveside following at High Springs City Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Evans-Carter Funeral Home, High Springs.
