A group of 4-H members traveled from Gilchrist County to Tallahassee on Thursday, March 26 for 4-H Day at the Capitol. Joshua Akin, Kalin Siegel, Austin Roberts, Karina Turner, Adli Elliott, Marissa Lamp-Hill, Conner Kaim, and Cheyenne Siegel  enjoyed an educational day spent touring Tallahassee and the Capitol. The youth had a chance to visit with Rep. Keith Perry and watch legislators in action on the floor of the Senate and House. They also had the chance to hear Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam’s interview with Southeast AgNet about how participation in 4-H helped him develop the citizenship, speaking, organizational and leadership skills that he draws on to this day.  According  to Chris DeCubellis, 4-H agent for Gilchrist County, the group had a great time in Tallahassee last week!
