Weekend wind

A school zone sign in Bell was blown over Sunday. On January 22, Gilchrist County was placed under a severe weather and tornado warning. Gilchrist County sustained up to 25 mph winds with gusts reaching 60 mph. Gilchrist County received 1-2 inches of rain. Several residents reported power outages and all power to Gilchrist County had been restored as of 10 a.m. Monday. The county received no reports of serious damage or storm related injuries. There are no reported roadway closing in the county according to James Campbell, Emergency Operations Chief for Gilchrist County Fire-Rescue
