Notice is hereby given by the Board of County Commissioners of Gilchrist County, Florida  will consider at public hearing the below described Petition in the Gilchrist County Board of County Commissioners Meeting Facility located at 210 South Main Street, Trenton, Florida on May 1, 2017 at 4:15 PM or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, the following:

A Petition by Nina Sue Shepherd to vacate, abandon, discontinue, and close a public roadway known as N.W. 43rd Ct., lying south of Gilchrist County Road Number 342, in Gilchrist County, Florida, in Section 35, Township 08 South, Range 14 East, Gilchrist County, Florida.

A copy of the Petition is on file in the Office of the County Clerk, Gilchrist County Courthouse, located at 112 South Main Street, Trenton, Florida and may be inspected during regular business hours. On the date, time and place first above mentioned, all interested persons may appear and be heard with respect to the petition.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR SEALED BIDS

The School Board of Gilchrist County has declared the following Property; 750 South Main Street, Bell Florida 32619, also known as lots 11, 12, 13 and 14, Bell Heights Subdivision, surplus property and will offer the same for sale. The Board will accept sealed bids from interested purchasers at the Gilchrist County School District Office located at 310 NW 11th Ave, Trenton, FL 32693 until 1:00 p.m. on May 1st, 2017 and bids will be opened at 4:15 or as soon thereafter as possible at the May 2, 2017 meeting of the Gilchrist County School Board. The property will be sold As Is and with no conditions or obligations on the part of the Board other than to deliver title. There is a seventy thousand-dollar ($70,000.00) minimum bid required to purchase the property. The property will be sold to the highest bidder above the minimum bid requirement. The successful bidder will be required to deliver one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) to the designee of the Board as a deposit within 5 days of May 2, 2017 and sign a Contract for Sale. The successful bidder will be required to close on the property within thirty (30) days of May 2, 2017. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. PUBLIC NOTICE 

Suwannee River Economic Council, Inc. will hold a pre-bid conference and walk-thru for the weatherization of three (3) single-family dwelling in the Gilchrist county Weatherization program.

This meeting will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 beginning 8:00 a.m. at Suwannee River Economic Council, Inc. 1439 SW CR 307A. Trenton, Florida 32693. The conference and walk-thru is mandatory, no exceptions, for contractors who plan to bid. Suwannee River Economic Council, Inc. requires each contractor to be properly licensed, carry general liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00 and Workers Comp insurance during construction.

Bids for these units will be due by 12:00 noon Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Suwannee River Economic Council, Inc., 1171 Nobles Ferry Rd., Bldg. #2,            Live Oak, FL 32064.   Please mark envelope “Sealed Bid of Homeowner, Weatherization”.
