Notice is hereby given that the School Board of Gilchrist County, Florida intends to adopt new instructional materials for use in the Gilchrist County School district after a public hearing, as follows:

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Chapter 373, Florida Statutes, the following application for permit was received on June 28, 2017:

Shepherd, 300 SW 50th Ave, Bell, FL 32619 has submitted an application to modify Water Use Permit number 2-041-221600-2, authorizing a maximum average daily use of 0.9589 mgd of groundwater for agricultural uses in 1-in-10-year drought conditions. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON CREATION OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT FOR ROAD IMPROVEMENTS FOR A PORTION OF SE 64TH STREET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of County Commissioners of Gilchrist County, Florida, that pursuant to petitions received, signed by more than 70% of the private property owners to be benefitted, pursuant to Gilchrist County Code, Article III, Chapter 70, a public hearing shall be held to determine whether a Special Assessment District shall be created for road improvements for a portion of SE 64TH Street, in Gilchrist County, Florida.
1. Description of Road Improvements To Be Undertaken. Paving of a portion of SE 64th Street from Gilchrist County Road Number C-337 westerly to a point being approximately the same distance as the westerly lot line of Lot 3, WESTLAKE WOODS SUBDIVISION, a subdivision on file and of record in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Gilchrist County, Florida.
2. Estimate of Cost Prepared by the County Coordinator. Total cost for the entire project is estimated to be approximately $65,654.22. The total cost of the project shall, based upon agreement and request of John R. Johnston and Lanell Johnston, owners of Lot 3, WESTLAKE WOODS SUBDIVISION, shall entirely be assessed and applied to Lot 3, WESTLAKE WOODS SUBDIVISION, payable in the following manner: $20,000.00 down shall be payable by John R. Johnston and Lanell Johnston to the Board of County Commissioners of Gilchrist County, Florida, within Ten (10) days following establishment by the Board of the SE 64th Street Special Assessment District. The estimated balance due of $45,654.22 shall be paid by way of an annual special assessment assessed against only Lot 3, WESTLAKE WOODS SUBDIVISION, which shall be amortized and payable over a period of 20 years at an annual cost of approximately $2,281.71 per year each, plus interest as finally determined by the Board.
3. A Public Hearing on this matter shall be held on Monday, August 7, 2017, at 4:15 P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, before the Gilchrist County Board of County Commissioners, at the Gilchrist County Board of County Commissioners Meeting Facility located at 210 South Main Street, Trenton, Florida.
All members of the public are invited to attend and will be given an opportunity to provide comments to the County Commission. The public hearing may be continued to one or more future dates. Any interested party shall be advised that the date, time, and place of any continuation of the public hearing shall be announced during the public hearing and that no further notice concerning the matter will be published. Begin at the Northwest Corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of Section 34, Township 9 South, Range 16 East, for the Point of Beginning; thence run South Thirty (30) feet; thence run East Five Thousand Two Hundred Eighty (5280) feet, to the East Boundary line of Section 34, Township 9 South, Range 16 East; thence run North Thirty (30) feet, to the Northeast Corner of said Southeast Quarter (SE ¼); thence run West Five Thousand Two Hundred Eighty (5280) feet; to the West Boundary line of Section Thirty Four (34), Township Nine (9) South, Range Sixteen (16) East, and the Point of Beginning;
is hereby granted.
2. The land described in Item 1 hereof lying and being in Section 34, Township 9 South, Range 16 East, Gilchrist County, Florida is hereby vacated, abandoned, discontinued, and closed. The Fee Ownership Interest of Gilchrist County, Florida is hereby surrendered and the title to the said parcel of land shall vest in the respective abutting fee owners according to law in accordance with Section 336.12, Florida Statutes.
3. A certified copy of this Resolution shall be recorded in the public records of Gilchrist County, Florida by the Clerk of the Circuit Court, to show that the interest of the public and that of Gilchrist County has by this Resolution been surrendered and the road vacated, abandoned, discontinued, closed, renounced and disclaimed and all its interest in the roadway as described in Item 1 hereof, in Section 34, Township 9 South, Range 16 East, Gilchrist County, Florida, has been abandoned and vacated. NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC OF FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT For Palms Medical Group - Bell Addition
In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, the Council on Environmental Quality regulations for implementing NEPA (40 CFR Parts 1500 through 1508) and the HHS General Administration Manual Part 30 Environmental Protection (February 25, 2000), HRSA has determined that Palms Medical Group - Bell Addition proposed by TRENTON MEDICAL CENTER INC. will have no significant adverse impact on the quality of the human environment. As a result of this FONSI, an Environmental Impact Statement will not be prepared.
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) provides discretionary grant and cooperative agreement awards to support health centers expand their capacity to provide primary and preventive health care services to medically underserved populations nationwide.
TRENTON MEDICAL CENTER INC. in Bell, Florida has applied for a grant under the Health Infrastructure Investment Program (HIIP). The applicant proposes to use HIIP funds to renovate and construct a 6,440 square foot addition to an existing medical facility, including additional parking, relocation of onsite water and sewer utilities, replacement of the existing On-Site Sewage Treatment and Disposal System (OSTDS), and the expansion of an onsite stormwater management pond. The total ground disturbance is 0.34 acres (14,800 square feet). The applicant has submitted an Environmental Assessment (EA) that documents impacts of the proposed action. This EA is incorporated by reference into this FONSI.
Additional project information is contained in the Environmental Assessment for this project, which is on file at the following address for public examination upon request between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The action was instituted in the Eighth Judicial Circuit Court, Gilchrist County, Florida, and is styled LOWELL D. CHESBOROUGH, Plaintiff, v. CLAUDE SANTER, and ALUMNI PARTNERS II, LLC, a Florida Limited Liability Company, Defendants.
You are required to serve a copy of your written defenses, if any, to the action on Douglas K. McKoy, Plaintiff’s attorney, whose address is 302-B North Main Street, Trenton, Florida 32693, on or before August 14, 2017, and file the original with the clerk of this court either before service on Douglas K. McKoy or immediately after service; otherwise, a default will be entered against you for the relief demanded in the complaint.
