Bell FFA does well at District Land Judging Contest

The 2018 District Land Judging event was hosted by Dixie Soil and Water Conservation District. FFA Chapters from Dixie, Gilchrist and Levy Counties participated.
Gilchrist County was represented by Bell Junior and Senior FFA Chapters.
FFA Advisors Debbie Jones and Bill Martin had three teams from each chapter competing in this year’s land judging competition. The winning Junior team was made up of Jaidon Lovett, Ashlee Thomas, Victoria Cannon and Colby Herring. Jaidon Lovett was the High Point Individual.
The winning Senior Bell FFA Team was made of Blaise Douglas, Montana Langford, Corbin Holder and Emma Gurule. Montana Langford was the High Point Individual.
Johnny Scott, Kinleigh Cooper, Elliott Spears and Sam Powell made up the second place Jr. Team from Bell.
Austin Bagby, Balace Morrow, Torin Homan and Trent Steedly made up the second place Senior Team from the county.
The third place team for Bell Junior Team was made up of Cade Wright, Alaina Maupin, Cason Rose and Faith Leffler. The third place Senior Team was made up of Mandy Earles and Hunter Underhill.
The FFA members enjoyed a barbecue lunch provided by the Dixie Soil and Water Conservation District and fellowship before boarding buses and traveling back to their schools.
The winning teams will continue on to compete in land judging events.
