Bulldogs improve to 19-4 after pair of non-district wins

The Bulldogs went on the road last week to pick up two non-district wins.
Bell traveled to Live Oak on Tuesday for their game against the Suwannee Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs got off to a fast start as they went four-for-seven from deep and took a 28-15 lead at the end of the first period.
Terek Liles and Reese Rankin each scored six points in the second quarter as the Bulldogs extended their lead to 43-25 at the end of the first half.
Bell held onto its lead in the second half as Suwannee tried to claw its way back into the game.
Suwannee cut the lead to 14 at the end of the third quarter and cut the lead to single digits in the fourth quarter, but Bell held on for a 66-56 win.
Terek Liles led the team in scoring with 21 points. Tyler Trantham and Reese Rankin each added 13.
The Bulldogs traveled to Mayo on Friday.
The Bulldogs scored 18 first-quarter points, but led by just four at the end of the period because the Hornets hit four threes in the quarter.
But Bell broke the game open in the second quarter, outscoring the Hornets 16-3 in the period to take a 34-15 lead into the halftime break.
The Bulldogs added onto their lead in the third quarter, leading 48-25 heading into the final quarter, and Bell took home a 58-42 win.
Tony Yoder led the Bulldogs offensively with 12 points. Tyler Trantham and Terek Liles each added 10.
The Bulldogs are now 19-4 and close out the regular season this week with two home games. Bell hosted Hawthorne on Monday and will host Crystal River on Friday.
