Mrs. Alma Louisa Carmichael
Alma Louisa Carmichael, 104 years of age, of Bell, passed away at Ayers Rehabilitation Center on Friday, April 6, 2018. She was born on October 4, 1913 to Carl and Louise Peterson in Marcus, Iowa and had been a resident of Bell since moving from New Smyrna in 2011. Mrs. Carmichael was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of New Smyrna Beach.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Carmichael. She is survived by her two daughters; Karen (Tommy) Philman of Bell, and Margaret Lutz of Port Orange. She is also survived by her two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service for Mrs. Carmichael was held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Bell Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Kuhr officiating.

Mrs. Nellie Ann Hudson
Nellie Ann Hudson of Chiefland, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the Tri-County Nursing Home in Trenton. She was 74.
Coming from Ft. Lauderdale Nellie has lived in the Chiefland area since 1986. She worked as a Corrections Officer for Levy County for 15 years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing on computers. Nellie loved her relationship with her sister.
Nellie is predeceased by her parents Manuel Dennis Gollihue and Goldie Mae Mullins, husband Bob, son Bruce Edward Bently, 3 brothers Manuel Ray Gollihue, Sr., Lowel Thomas Mullins and Gary Lee Gollihue and sister Lois Marie Slone. She is survived by her sons Ralph Edward Bentley of Washington, D. C., and Dennis Edward Bentley of Ft. Walton Beach; brother Franklin Dennis Gillihue of Chiefland, sister Gloria Lovetta Justice of Chiefland; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A service was held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel in Chiefland with Pastor Gordon Keller officiating. Visitation was held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel in Chiefland. Nellie was under the care of Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland.

Mrs. Kourtney Dunnam Lambert
Kourtney Dunnam Lambert, age 23, of Branford, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 7, 2018. She was born in Gainesville on June 1, 1994 and had lived in Branford after moving from Trenton three years ago. Kourtney was employed with Shands UF as a Customer Service Representative and was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed hunting and going mud bogging and had been an avid softball player with her high school as well as her travel ball team. She loved spending time with her niece and nephew and also with her five dogs whom she lovingly referred to as her furry kids.
Kourtney is preceded in death by her father, Charles Edward “Eddie” Dunnam, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Maxwell Dustin Lambert of Branford; her mother and step-father, Lynn and Mike Studstill; her brother, Jonathan (Kellea) Dunnam; her niece, Reighlynn Dunnam and her nephew, Kristopher Dunnam; all of Trenton. She is also survived by her grandparents, Charles and Sandra Dunnam and great-grandmother, Sally Dunnam; all of Old Town; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Michael and Michele Lambert of Hatchbend; brother-in-law, Matthew (Emily) Lambert of Mayo and close friend, Danny Langford.
Graveside Services for Kourtney will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Cross City Cemetery with Pastor Robby Studstill officiating.

Mrs. Mary Catherine Miller
Mary Catherine Miller, 88, of Cross City passed away March 30, 2018.
Mrs. Miller was born to the late Henry and Hazel Miller in Eastview Kentucky on August 25, 1929. After graduation from the Peabody College, she came to Cross City to teach. She lived at the Putnam Lodge for three years until she had her own residence. She taught in Dixie, Suwannee, and Columbia Counties over the next 33 years. After she retired, she was very active in our community. Ms. Mary was a member of the Woman’s Club for years, and still an active member in with the Florida Retired Educators and the Dixie Education Foundation. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Mission in Cross City.
Ms. Miller is survived by Billy and Nancy Padgett and a host of other friends.
Funeral services for Ms. Miller were held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Cross City Chapel. Interment followed in Cross City Cemetery. A visitation was held one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Hugh Lamar Sanders
Hugh Lamar Sanders of Bell, passed away at home on Wednesday evening, April 4, 2018. He was 76 years old. Hugh was born on April 13, 1941 to Clayton and Clyde Sanders in Bell and was a lifelong resident. He proudly served his country in the US Army and was self-employed in the Construction Industry. He enjoyed working and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Bell.
Hugh is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Marlene Sanders Hines and his brother Ray Sanders. He is survived by his wife, Avie Lou Sanders of Bell; his daughter, Michelle (Derrick) Rose of Bell; his son, Derek (Tammy) Sanders of Bell; his sister, Charlene Sanders of Bell; his brother, Mike (Tammy) Sanders, also of Bell and his 4 grandchildren and 2 great-granchildren.
A Graveside Service for Mr. Sanders was held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Bell Cemetery with Pastor Joe Chesser and Brother Daniel Kuhr officiating.

Mr. Kevin James Valentine, Jr.
Kevin James Valentine, Jr., 26, of Cross City passed away March 28, 2018.
Kevin was born January 26, 1992 in Gainesville, but had spent all his life in the tri-county area. He was a graduate of the 2010 Class from Chiefland High School and had installed and remodeled theaters for eight years with Wulf Installs. In his spare time, Kevin enjoyed fishing better than eating, but loved to cook and eat them as well, he was very accomplished at playing the guitar, and liked to target shoot. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Kevin is survived by his father Kevin (Peggy) Valentine, Sr. of Cross City, his mother Susie (Bobby) Underwood of Bronson, his grandparents James and Irene Valentine of Cross City and Ron and Judy Boyd of Trenton, his brother Kyle Valentine of Cross City, his half-brother Wade Underwood of Bronson, his half-sister Bobbi Sue Underwood of Bronson, his uncle Greg (Dawn) Valentine, his aunts Karen (Danny) Bannister, Kim (Omer) Tucker, and Beth Ann (Donald) Palmer, other extended family members, and his work family Karl Wulf and the Guys.
A memorial service will be held in honor of Kevin 3:00 PM Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Cross City Chapel, with Pastor L. E. Parker and Pastor Jarrett Thomas officiating.
