Mrs. Doris Barnhill Beauchamp
Doris Barnhill Beauchamp, 89, of Chiefland, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville.
A lifelong resident of Levy County, she was born on January 10, 1929 to Byrd and Annie Barnhill at Linnen, a sawmill town that was located between Bronson and Otter Creek.
Mrs. Beauchamp was a member of First Baptist Church of Chiefland and was a member of the Curryville Homemakers Club for over 60 years. She also served many years on the Levy County Extension Advisory Board. She was a founding member of the Suwannee Valley Happy Gardeners Club and enjoyed being a part of the Log Cabin Quilters for many years.
Mrs. Beauchamp enjoyed gardening, quilting, canning, and spending time with her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Lloyd O. Beauchamp, Sr. and a great-granddaughter Brittni Scoggins.
Mrs. Beauchamp is survived by sons, Lloyd O. (Ibri Jone) Beauchamp, Jr. of Chiefland, Michael A. Beauchamp of Chiefland and a daughter, Cindy Jo (John) Ayers of Trenton. She leaves behind seven grandchildren: Tammi Beauchamp, Cammi Beauchamp, Alan Beauchamp, Lan Beauchamp, John Beauchamp, Carrie Ayers Mizell and J. Ayers. She also had 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service and burial was private. The family received friends at a visitation held on Monday, May 7, from 6:00 to 7:30 in the evening at the First Baptist Church of Chiefland’s Fellowship Hall.
Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland.

Mr. Roger D. Gibbs
Roger D. Gibbs, 82, of Rock Bluff, passed away on May 10, 2018. He was born to Sylvester and Hattie Gibbs of Dallas, Texas. He was one of 15 children.
He leaves behind his wife, of 49 years, Mary, two sons, Robbie and Steve, a daughter Leslie Flowers, and 7 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 19 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Bell.

Mrs. Jennifer Michelle Mauldin Herndon
Jennifer Michelle Mauldin Herndon of High Springs, passed away at E.T. York Hospice in Gainesville on Sunday, May 6, 2018. She was 38 years old. Jennifer was born on January 11, 1980 to Michael R. and Eileen Colson Mauldin in Gainesville and was a lifelong resident of High Springs. She was an Accountant and was of the Baptist faith.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her mother, Eileen Colson Mauldin. She is survived by her husband, Kyle Herndon; her father, Michael R. Mauldin; her sisters, Brittany Mauldin and Courtney (Matthew) Enzor and her brother, Travis (Jamie) Mauldin, all of High Springs; her grandmother, Shirley Kulcsar of Ocala and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Randy and Barbara Herndon of Branford.
The family received friends at Watson Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 am. Funeral Services for Jennifer will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in High Springs with Brother Dale Thigpen officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Johnny Edward Townsend
Johnny Edward Townsend, Jr., age 72, of Bell, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. He was born on August 22, 1945 to Johnny Edward Townsend, Sr. and his wife Betty Franklin Townsend in St. Petersburg and had been a resident of Bell since moving from Plant City 29 years ago. Mr. Townsend loved his job as a Licensed Practical Nurse; working at North Florida Regional Medical Center. He proudly served his country in the Florida National Guard and was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church.
Mr. Townsend is preceded in death by his parents and by his daughter, Leigh Ann Townsend. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Wilson Townsend of Bell and his sisters, Brenda Townsend Whited and Linda Townsend, both of Lithia.
Funeral Services for Mr. Townsend were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 at New Beginning Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Ruggles officiating. Interment followed at Townsend Cemetery. The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to New Beginning Baptist Church or to Haven Hospice in Chiefland.
