Bulldogs Miracle Whip Mayo to take control of district

Bulldogs swept LBI Tournament over weekend

Bell volleyball won seven games in six days last week, including six sweeps, to improve to 13-2 on the season and take full control of District 7-1A.
The Bulldogs opened the week by traveling to Chiefland. In their only non-sweep of the week, the Bulldogs defeated the Indians, 25-13, 25-19, 24-26, 25-13.
Three Bulldogs had double-digit kills in the match. Jillian Cassube led the team with 20, Juliana Whiting had 11 and Taria Liles tallied 10. Jenna Holley led the team defensively with 22 digs. Kylee Barry had a double-double with 48 assists and 15 digs.
On Tuesday, the Bulldogs traveled to Mayo to face the three-time-defending district champions, Lafayette. The Bulldogs swept the Hornets, 25-22, 25-17, 25-20.
Jillian Cassube had 20 kills and Jill Morgan added 10. Jenna Holley led the team in digs with 18. Morgan followed close behind with 17. Kylee Barry had 37 assists.
The Bulldogs played their last non-tournament game of the week on Thursday, hosting Bronson. The Bulldogs pulled off another sweep, defeating the Eagles, 25-12, 25-12, 25-16. Jill Morgan led the team with 14 kills. Jillian Cassube had 13. Jenna Holley led the team with 11 digs. Kylee Barry had 36 assists.
Over the weekend, the Bulldogs swept the LBI tournament, never losing a set in their eight games en route to the LBI championship. They defeated Crescent City, Trenton, Williston and Lafayette to take home the title.
The Bulldogs enter this week with a record of 13-2 and 4-0 in district play.
They have three games this week, hosting Jefferson County on Monday, then Eastside on Tuesday before traveling to Lake City to take on Columbia on Thursday.
