Dixie keeps Tigers scoreless in first half

The Trenton Tigers were shell shocked Friday night as the 2-0 Dixie county Bears defeated Trenton 35-0 in a lightning delayed game that was called off due to the weather Friday night in Trenton.
The Bears posted 21 points in the first period followed by 14 points in the second quarter with 302 yards of offense in their second win of the season. The Tigers finished with 72 total yards as sophomore quarterback Jacob Guthrie threw for 8 yards to Wyatt Lovelace. Guthrie recorded 20 yards on 7 carries and Jordan Fulmer had 39 yards on 2 rushes for Trenton.
The Tigers’ Caleb Morgan and Jacob Morgan were credited with causing 2 fumbles in this game. Tyrese Jackson had a fumble recovery on defense. Trenton’s Wyatt Lovelace led the defense with 6 tackles and Jordon Fulmer had 5 total tackles and Jacob Morgan had 3 solo tackles for the Tigers.
The Tigers will travel to Bushnell Friday night to face 4A South Sumter, which posts a 1-1 record after losing to Nature Coast Tech 41-20 Friday night. This game will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Go Tigers.
