Bulldogs shut out by P.K. Yonge on homecoming

By Matthew Harrell
P.K. Yonge quarterback Carter Kutchko connected with Jakhari Bird on P.K. Yonge’s first play from scrimmage for a 51-yard touchdown. It never got much better for the Bulldogs, who fell to P.K. Yonge, 49-0, Friday night on homecoming.
The Blue Wave scored on their first two possessions to take an early 12-0 lead. Bell showed some life on P.K.’s third possession when Caden Hastings intercepted Kutchko’s pass, but the Bulldogs’ offense sputtered like it did most of the night.
After a short punt, P.K. made it 20-0. The Blue Wave eventually opened a 35-0 lead at halftime.
The Bulldogs had some drives that showed promise in the second half and got long runs from junior running back Jonathon Neudert but failed to find the end zone.
The Bulldogs were eventually shut out for the fourth time this season by a score of 49-0.
Things don’t get much easier for the Bulldogs this week as they host the Lafayette Hornets Friday night.
The Hornets are 4-2 on the season after a 32-26 win over Branford last week.
