Monday morning fire destroys home in Rolling Oaks

Jeff and A’Lisa Blankenship lost their home to a accidental home fire on Monday morning, October 1. The Blankenships have two children ages 16 and 12.
Gilchrist Fire Rescue received the structure fire call just before 10 a.m. All Gilchrist Fire units including Trenton and Fanning Springs responded to the fire call. According to Gilchrist Fire Rescue Chief James Campbell the home is a total loss.
Those wanting to help the Blanenship family may do so by stopping in at any Capital City Bank and the tellers will be happy to assist them by depositing any donations directly into A’Lisa Blankenship’s account. A’Lisa Blankenship is a longtime employee of Capital City Bank and a member of the Gilchrist County Woman’s Club. Jeff is a retired Marine Veteran.
