Mrs. Tracy Lee Dillon
Tracy Lee Dillon, 42, of Bell, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 8, 2018 from an automobile accident. She was born in Gainesville on July 26, 1976 to Barbara Spears Dillon and the late Leroy Dillon, Jr.. She has been a life-long resident of the Bell area and was an LPN for the last 15 years; working for Shands, home hospice, nursing facilities and home health during that time. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and hunting; and was known to be quite good at it. She is preceded in death by her father, Leroy Dillon, Jr.
She is survived by her mother; Barbara Ann Ponds of Bell; sons; Christian Lee Lajoie of Bell and Bradon Lajoie of St. Petersburg; brother; Christopher James Ponds of Bell and her granddaughter, Ava Lajoie of St. Petersburg, and numerous family members and friends also survive her.
Memorial services for Tracy were held at the family’s home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Lake City. Please leave words of comfort for the family at www.gatewayforestlawn.com..

Mr. Ivy Levi Holder, Jr.
Ivy Levi Holder, Jr., 85, of Archer, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018.
Mr. Holder was born in Gainesville on September 6, 1933 to Ivy Levi and Lilla Mae Holder. He graduated from Gainesville High School in 1951 and joined the Army, serving 2 years as an M.P. He served in Okinawa. He retired from the United States Postal Service and enjoyed his large family, reading, traveling and working in his yard. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bronson for the past 47 years.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Holder of Archer; children, Lisa (Tony) Fletcher, Kenny (Shirley) Holder, Chris Holder (Katie Parks), Lee (Amanda) Holder and Jackson Holder; sisters, Pat Smith of Webster and Barbara Durden of Bronson; 20 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edward Holder and grandsons, J. T. Conquest, Steven Holder and Logan Holder.
Funeral services were at First Baptist Church of Bronson Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Trenton. A visitation was held at the church the day of the service beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Elinor McLeroy Hutchinson
Elinor McLeroy Hutchinson, 84, of Chiefland, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018.
Mrs. Hutchinson was born on February 3, 1934 in Trenton to Milton and Alma McLeroy. A lifelong resident of the Chiefland area, Mrs. Hutchinson was a secretary for the Levy County School System at Chiefland High School. She was a member of UDC and enjoyed playing piano, traveling and reading. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hutchinson was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Wilmer Carver Hutchinson who passed away just 2 days prior. She is survived by daughters, Pamela G. (Jay) Lawrence of Trenton and Joy (Gene) Schreiber of Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church of Chiefland Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Travis Hudson officiating. Interment followed at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Trenton. A visitation was held at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home in Chiefland on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL, 32606 will be appreciated.

Mr. Wilmer Carver Hutchinson
Wilmer Carver Hutchinson, 86, of Chiefland passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018.
Mr. Carver was born in Chiefland on March 2, 1932 to Wilmer T. and Lily Mae Hutchinson. He served in the United States Navy. Mr. Carver enjoyed sports and his occupation, which was farming. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Trenton.
He is survived by his wife, Elinor McLeroy Hutchinson of Chiefland; daughters, Pamela G. (Jay) Lawrence of Trenton and Joy (Gene) Schreiber of Oklahoma; brother, Raymond Lawrence Hutchinson of Trenton; sisters, Doris Gore of Trenton and Margie Collins of Trenton; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church of Chiefland Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Travis Hudson officiating. Mr. Jacob Palmer Reed
Jacob Palmer Reed, 21, of Trenton passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018.
Jake was born in Gainesville on July 13, 1997 to Jonathan Peter and Michelle Rae Lindsey Reed. He graduated from Branford High School in 2015. He was a lineman with Duke Energy since January of this year, formerly working for Pike Energy. He enjoyed four wheeling, hunting, fishing and hanging out with his friends. A good ole boy, he never met a stranger and was the class clown. He was a talented artist and enjoyed stained glass. Jake was a Baptist.
He is survived by his parents Jonathan and Michelle Reed of Trenton; brother, Joshua Reed of Gainesville; Maternal grandparents, Benjamin and Karol Lindsey of Hatch Bend and Paternal grandparents, Jim Reed of Poconos, PA, Suzanne Noonan of Oxford, England and Buck Shilling of Casper, WY.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Hatchbend Baptist Church fellowship hall.

Mrs. Marie Whitfield
Mrs Marie Whitfield, 77, of Bell passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018.
Marie was born June 28, 1941 to the late Charlotte Sjoblom. She moved to Bell in 1981. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray “Tony” Whitfield and also one son, Jody Allen Whitfield.
She was survived by her son, Shane Whitfield (Marilyn) and daughters, Kitty Hovis (Jerry), Diane Roy (Dave), Marlena Vernon (Horace), Tiffani McLendon (Eddie) and Leslie Bagget. She had 22 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral services were held at New Hope Baptist Church at 4470 NW C.R. 236 Bell, Saturday, October 13, 2018. Visitation was at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service was at 11:00 am. Interment was held at Sonshine Memorial Garden Cemetery at 5747 NW 15th Street, Bell.

Mr. Milton L. Williams
Milton L. Williams, 88, of Trenton, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018.
Mr. Williams was born on July 5, 1930 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late William and Victoria Williams. He moved from Sebring to Trenton in 2018. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean war and also was a lifetime member of the AMVETS and the V.F.W. He was also a Merchant Marine and worked in the shipyard. He was under membership of Brookside Masonic Lodge #720 and Murat Shrine Temple, both in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Earthal E. Williams; sons, Wallace (Donna) Maynard and Esau Maynard Jr. both of Trenton; brother, Dr. William K. Williams of Pee Wee Valley, Kentucky.
A Masonic Service was held Monday, October 15, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Rick Gooding Funeral Home, Chiefland. Graveside Service was held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
