Trenton Golf Team wins District Tournament

The Trenton High School Golf Team traveled to the Country Club of Lake City to play in the District Tournament on October 16. The team played well and brought home the District Trophy.
Trent Becker had the lowest individual score of 88. Becker said, “I’ve had some ups and downs this season but was able to put it together for districts.” Becker has been on the team for the past year and a half.
Max Wawers is the only senior on the team and has been playing since age five. Coach James Johnson said, “This is Wawers first year on an organized golf team and he was able to have one of his best rounds ever at the districts.” Trenton won the Districts by 50 stokes.
The District placement was Trenton first, Lafayette second, and Newberry third. Followed by Union, Branford, Bell and Chiefland.
Trenton moved on to the Regional tournament on Tuesday, October 23.
