Cecil Eugene Harrington
Cecil Eugene Harrington, 58, of Bell passed away on Friday, April 5th.
Mr. Harrington was born on October 14, 1960 in Gainesville. He lived his entire life in Gilchrist County and graduated from Bell High School in 1980. Cecil was employed by Piggly Wiggly and K.F.C. He enjoyed the CB radio, fishing and also loved good food and spending time with his family. Cecil was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.
Mr. Harrington is survived by his son, Cecil Lee Harrington; daughter, Christina “Beth” Norris; mother, Betty Alice Harris; three grandchildren; brothers, Michael Harrington and Steve Short; one nephew and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Lee Harrington; son, Joseph Lee Harrington and brother, Wayne Harrington.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Harrington will be held Saturday, May 4th at Rick Gooding Funeral Home in Cross City at 2:00 p.m.

Young “Mack” Poole
Young “Mack” Poole, 80 years old, of Trenton, passed away on Tuesday, April 23rd at his home. He was born in Levyville, FL on April 15, 1939 to parents, Mac S. and Lola Jones Poole.
Mack worked for Central Florida Electric Co-op for 41 years, retiring in 2001. Mack enjoyed worshiping the Lord and making all types of brittle to give away to loved ones. He enjoyed gardening and working with his tractor, but his passion was helping people with any type of job they needed done. Mack was a very caring and loving man and he never met a stranger, always caring for people. He was a member of Cherry Sink Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his six brothers and sister. Mack is survived by his wife of eight years, Joan Poole; his children, Raymond Poole, Sherry Poole, Carol Poole, Jennifer (Fredrick) Seyez, Tim (Heather) Adkins, Kevin (Tina) Adkins and Rebecca Byrd; his sister, Pearl Poole of Newberry; 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mr. Poole were held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27th at Trenton Church of Christ with Mr. Everett Heaton officiating. Interment followed at Antioch Cemetery. The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Raymond Ralph Valenine
Raymond Ralph Valentine passed away on his birthday, April 17th, at Shands Cardiac Hospital at the age of 77.
Ray (Ralph) was born in Gena/Carbur, FL on April 17, 1942 to Dewey Joseph Valentine and Cora Pauline Reed Valentine.
In February 1961, at the age of 19, Raymond enlisted in the United Stars Air Force and served four years. While in the Air Force he met and married Ila Mae Carlson in Denver, CO on February 15, 1962.
After he finished his four year term, they lived in Old Town where they raised three daughters. He worked at area saw mills and commercial fished until he had to retire at the early age of 40 due to his heart condition. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming. He loved spending time and talking with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father Dewey Joseph Valentine, mother Cora Pauline Reed Valentine, his baby brother and sisters, Dianna Valentine two weeks old, Dorothy Louise Valentine at age 13 and Betty Ruth Miller at the age 55.
He is survived by his wife Ila Mae Carlson Valentine of 57 years; three daughters, Dianna (Jamey) Robinson, Kathy (Lee) Missildine, Cheryl (Tony) Aubrey; four grandsons, Dustin (Giovanna) Missildine, Michael (Jamie) Robinson, Keith Robinson, Zachery Aubrey; two granddaughters, Ashley (Gary) McCook and Felisha Aubrey; five great grandchildren, Madison Missildine, William and Khilee McCook, Blayne and Adelynn Robinson; three brothers, Milton (Margie) Valentine, Lamar (Pam) Valentine and Donald (Marlene) Valentine; three sisters, Helen (Kenny) Glossum, Frances Clements and Mary Jane Spurlin.
