Newberry’s Farmers Market opens

The farmers market is located near City Hall in downtown Newberry and is open between 4 and 7 p.m. every Tuesday. Natalia Derevianko is shown with a beautiful head of lettuce at the Newberry Farmers Market last week. Derevianko founded her farming business near Archer last July. Nine graduate from first School Guardian Program Program

The nine Gilchrist County School employees who completed the School Guardian program training were honored last Thursday, March 14, at The Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office. Tax Collector Barbara Merritt Resigns

After 42 years working in the Tax Collector’s Office, Gilchrist County’s Tax Collector Barbara J. Merritt is leaving office. Merritt resigned as of February 4, 2019 as the Tax Collector for Gilchrist County.
