Mrs. Evelyn Mae Chewning, 74, of Old Town, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015. Mrs. Chewning has lived in Dixie County for the past 50 years, moving here from Beckley, West Virginia. He was born in Gainesville, spending most of his time in this area.  He proudly served his country in the US Navy for 5 years, serving on nuclear submarines.
