4-H agent to leave Gilchrist County

Gilchrist County 4-H Agent Chris DeCubellis has accepted a position as new associate program leader for 4-H Youth Development. DeCubellis will officially begin his new role at the 4-H State Headquarters in Gainesville on July 1, 2015, though he said he plans to fulfill his commitments to the youth in Gilchrist County throughout the summer.  Full Story »

Trenton Rotary Club conducted their 7th Annual Fishing Tournament, the friendliest tournament on the gulf coast, last Saturday but the Gulf of Mexico was not friendly for the saltwater fishermen. Torch Run for Special Olympics

  Officers from Lancaster Correctional Institute and the Gilchrist County Sheriff's Office, family members and friends walked and ran along the Greenway Trail on Friday in support of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
