BOCC approves $600K tax break for hotel

The Gilchrist County Commission approved their first application for an economic development ad valorem tax exemption for a 71-bed, three story hotel that is expected to be constructed in Fanning Springs. The Trenton High School gym was transformed into “Party at Gatsby’s…The Roaring 20’s” on Friday night for the junior/senior prom. HOSA Par Pro Team will go to Nationals

The Bell High School Health Academy HOSA Parliamentary Procedure team went to the State Leadership Conference in Orlando March 26-29. Team members include: Ranie Butler, Ricky Buchholz, Penelope Sutliff, Taylor Rogers, Ashton Mathews, Jake Hunter, and Christine Rowe. The Dixie County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in locating the person(s) responsible for vandalism in the Sand Hill Cemetery over the weekend. City gives Cherry’s Seafood OK on outdoor dining

Jeff Cherry, owner of Cherry’s Seafood and Steaks in Trenton, came before the City of Trenton Board of Adjustment to present plans for an outdoor dining room located next to the restaurant at the Board of Adjustment meeting held on March 24.
