Suwannee Valley Quilt Festival is next weekend

Trenton’s Suwannee Valley Quilt Festival, which will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, will host a special quilt display featuring designs by Kaffe Fassett. Proclamation honors Mrs. Alice White

It’s time to plant watermelons

  Local farmer Jenner Ridgeway submitted this photograph of workers planting watermelons between Trenton and Bell on Monday. According to Ridgeway, the workers can plant 50 acres of watermelons a day while seated on planters attached to a tractor. Marvin Weaver, Gilchrist County extension agent, gave a conservative estimate that over 2,000 acres of watermelons will be planted in Gilchrist ... Full Story »

Fundraiser on Friday for Payton Stanley

There will be a fundraiser luncheon on Friday, March 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the employee parking lot at Capital City Bank in Trenton to assist Payton Stanley.
