Trenton and Bell go 0-2 in Tournament

Bulldogs’ comeback comes up short in Kickoff Classic

The Trenton Tigers did what needed to be done in the first half to take a 12-0 lead that wrapped up the game as a lighting storm canceled the second half. Local Trooper promoted to the Rank of Captain

Suwannee River Youth Fair General Meeting planned for August 29

General Meeting and Election will be held on Monday, August 29th at 6:30 p.m. The directors whose terms are ending are Todd Begue and Heather Rucker (Dixie), Earl “Peewee” Jones and Michelle Walker-Crawford (Gilchrist), Frank Dola and Scott Mills (Levy), and Gary McKenzie (at large). Time to early vote!

Early voting will begin on Saturday, August 20 at the Gilchrist  County Courthouse in Trenton. The hours will be 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., August 20-27, with early voting on Sunday, August 21 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Those in need of an absentee ballot should contact the Supervisor of Elections office at 352-463-3194.  Full Story »

Senior’s celebrate the 6th Anniversary of the Senior Center

On Friday, August 12, nearly 50 senior citizens gathered at the Senior Center in Trenton to celebrate the 6th Anniversary of the center. During the entertainment portion of the celebration Ms. Ruth Knowles sang several popular songs and hymns. Nathan Jordan won 2016 World Championship of SASS

Submitted Nathan Jordan a/k/a Little Man won the 2016  World Championship of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) in the category of Buckaroo (boys, age 10-13) in Edgewood, New Mexico recently.
