Gilchrist County has the second highest graduation rate in the state

Annually, the Florida Department of Education calculates a graduation rate for each school district in Florida.  According to the Florida Department of Education, the graduation rate measures the percentage of students who graduate with a standard diploma within four years of their first enrollment in ninth grade. Santa comes to town

Bell students sweep School District Spelling Bee

S-u-s-h-i was the word of the day on Monday as Bell High School student Jack Denny correctly spelled the noun and was named District Spelling Bee Champion. Fellow Bell High School student Melonie Piechocki was the runner-up. Jack and Melonie competed against students from throughout Gilchrist County who won or placed in their school spelling bees. Walker-Crawford elected School Board chair

School Board votes 3-2 to terminate BHS para-professional

By Cindy Jo Ayers In a 3-2 vote during a special meeting held on Wednesday, Nov. 11, the Gilchrist County School Board voted to terminate Jeffrey Price, a para-professional at Bell High School. JROTC program honors Veterans

Bell Middle High School students were treated to a Veterans Day performance on Tuesday morning and the entire community was invited to see the show later in the evening.
