Beach and Douglas Receive Florida Farm Bureau Scholarship

Submitted Heather Beach and Jarrett Douglas of Gilchrist County have each been awarded a college scholarship of $1,000 under a program initiated by Florida Farm Bureau Federation. Peanut harvest underway in Gilchrist

Last week the peanut harvest began in Gilchrist County. Some 12,000 acres of peanuts have been planted in the county according to the Farm Service Agency in Trenton.
