Trenton Simmons, Trenton Senior was named the Gainesville Sun’s small schools player of the year. Simmons went 12-0 for the Class 1A state champions with a .074 ERA, 92 strikeouts in 66.2 innings pitched, allowed just 29 hits with 14 walks, and  faced 256 batters. Trenton defeats Pierson Taylor in 9 innings

The Trenton Tigers battled their way into a Regional Final game as they defeated Pierson Taylor 2-1 in nine innings at Trenton’s Bryant Field on Wednesday evening.
