Riverside Christian wins State 6-Man Football Title

By Megan Hall The Riverside Christian Wranglers football team won their second FCSA 6-Man Football Title in three years on Saturday as they defeated Hope Christian Academy, 66-25. The Wranglers won state titles in 2018 and 2020 and was runner-up in 2019. Riverside completes their season with a 11-1 record, and boasts a 33-4 record involving the last three seasons. ... Riverside Wranglers defeat Donahue Catholic for State Title birth

The Wranglers secured a birth in the FCSA 6-man state football championship game December 5th in Lakeland. FGC Cross Country Runner Receives All America Award

Three runners for the Florida Gateway College Women’s Cross Country Team competed last week at the 2020 NJCAA Women’s Half Marathon Championship in Fort Dodge, Iowa. FGC freshman Merlin Leal received the All America Award for finishing in the top 20, placing 19th with a time of 1:49:52.6 in the 13.1-mile race. The Trenton Tigers improved their regular season football record to 5-5 as they defeated the Lafayette County Hornets 35-21 in Mayo Friday night.
