Gilchrist Commission reluctantly approves inmate cost increase

The Gilchrist County Commission approved a rate increase for inmates being housed in the Dixie County Jail to $42 a day during their April 3 public meeting. Gilchrist Fire Rescue puts out Vehicle Fire

Submitted The Gilchrist County Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle fire on March 15 at 1 p.m. on County Road 138 in north Gilchrist County. When they arrived, they discovered a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck that was fully engulfed with flames.
