The body of 20-year Daniel “Danny” Schweitzer was found on February 25 on CR 234 near Micanopy in Alachua County. The Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office had filed a missing person’s report on Schweitzer after his parents reported him missing. Fundraising dinner a huge success for GCSO

There wasn’t an empty seat in the house at Cherry’s Seafood and Steak Restaurant in Trenton on the evening of Jan. 28. On Tuesday, January 8, 2019 there was a house fire at 3:45 a.m. at 9649 Indiana Street in Fanning Springs. Gilchrist County Fire Services responded to the fire.
